Product Release v4.1.2 | Microsoft Contract Center, Data-Aware Rightsizing, and Smarter Multi-Cloud Budgeting

As cloud ecosystems evolve and renewal negotiations grow more complex, Surveil continues to deliver innovations that simplify complexity, unlock optimization, and strengthen confidence in every decision. Our v4.1.2 release brings enhancements across Microsoft 365, Azure, and Multi-Cloud but the spotlight belongs to Surveil’s new Microsoft 365 Contract Center, a first-to-market capability redefining how enterprises and partners approach renewals.

Here’s a breakdown of what’s coming in this release and why it matters for your EA, FinOps and modernization journey.

Surveil for Microsoft 365

Spotlight Feature: Microsoft 365 Contract Center

The Microsoft 365 renewal process has become a high-stakes exercise. Costs are rising, licensing rules are increasingly complex, and many partners have lost the skills to guide customers through the negotiation. Too often, renewals are rushed, negotiated blind, and result in bloated contracts with wasted spend.

With Surveil’s Contract Center, that era is over.

Contract Center is the industry’s first data-driven renewal workspace built to transform Microsoft 365 renewals into a collaborative, fact-based, and optimized business process.

Key Capabilities:

  • Automatic BOM Builder: Instantly generate a Bill of Materials (BOM) from live tenant data. No manual spreadsheets, no guesswork.
  • Renewal Modeling & Scenario Planning: Model multiple licensing mixes, apply Microsoft offers and deal pricing, and prepare for negotiation with confidence.
  • Built-In Optimization Recommendations: Factor in Surveil’s right-sizing intelligence to strip out unused or underutilized licenses before they hit the contract.
  • Collaborative Project Sharing: Invite finance, operations, and IT into a single secure workspace to align on renewal strategy.
  • Included in Essentials: Contract Center is included in the M365 Essentials license for all Surveil customers.

👉 Why it matters:

  • Enterprises negotiate with Microsoft backed by defendable tenant data, cutting overspend and ensuring budgets reflect reality.
  • Partners scale renewal advisory services without adding headcount by productizing renewals as a repeatable, revenue-driving service.
  • Finance & Procurement finally see the true renewal cost and savings potential before committing.
  • IT & Ops ensure licenses align to operational needs, not just vendor terms.

Other Microsoft 365 Enhancements in v4.1.2

New M365 Recommendation Pipelines

  • Identifies overlapping licenses (Apps for Enterprise).
  • Detects disabled accounts without licenses assigned, while excluding those tied to shared mailboxes.

👉 Why it matters: Greater granularity in license hygiene recommendations, reducing waste and surfacing immediate cost savings.

Security Assessments Update

The Security Assessment feature is moving under the Guardian sub-menu for a more streamlined navigation experience.

👉 Why it matters: Cleaner menus mean faster access to the tools you need.

Surveil for Azure

Disk Rightsizing Engine: Now Data-Aware

Our enhanced Disk Rightsizing Engine now factors in actual stored data, not just network metrics. By pulling daily usage stats via log analytics, recommendations are more accurate and reflect what’s really on disk.

👉 Why it matters: Rightsizing and tiering decisions can now be made with confidence, avoiding false positives and ensuring optimization aligns with real-world usage.

Azure Recommendations + Ivanti ISM Integration

Enterprises can now push selected Surveil Azure recommendations directly into Ivanti ISM for action. Simply select recommendations, send them through the integration, and track outcomes in-platform.

👉 Why it matters: Bridges the gap between optimization insights and ITSM workflows — closing the loop from recommendation to execution.

Tagging of SaaS Elements in Azure

Azure SaaS billing items are now registered as resources and available for tagging within Surveil.

👉 Why it matters: Brings SaaS costs into the same structured, business-relevant tagging framework as other Azure resources, improving visibility and chargeback accuracy.

Multi-Cloud: Budgeting With FOCUS Data

Budget creation now supports FOCUS-based data sources alongside Azure, with the ability to define providers at the scope level.

👉 Why it matters: Strengthens Surveil’s multi-cloud FinOps capabilities, giving teams a standardized way to build and manage budgets across AWS, Azure, and beyond.

Platform & Usability Enhancements

Cloud Assistant Improvements

  • New clickable company overview buttons added to the home screen.
  • Answers are displayed in a scrolling format for easier reading.
  • Users are prompted to start a new chat after 15 questions for cleaner conversations.

👉 Why it matters: A more intuitive, user-friendly experience that makes it easier to engage with Surveil’s AI-driven guidance.
