What’s New at Surveil: Product Release v4.3.3

FinOps for AI Becomes Operational: Cost Visibility, Optimization Intelligence, and Accountable Outcomes

AI is no longer experimental. It is becoming one of the fastest growing and least predictable cost layers in the enterprise cloud. As organizations scale Azure OpenAI, AI Search, and emerging AI workloads, traditional FinOps practices are being pushed to their limits. Costs are fragmented across models, tokens, and infrastructure. Usage patterns are volatile. And most teams lack the visibility needed to make confident decisions.

With Surveil v4.3.3, we take a major step forward in helping enterprises bring financial accountability to AI.

At the center of this release is AI Manager for Azure, introducing dedicated cost visibility, performance insight, and optimization pipelines for AI workloads. Alongside this, we continue strengthening Azure optimization, enhancing Microsoft 365 governance and recommendations, and improving partner and platform experiences.

This release is about one thing: Turning AI cost complexity into clear, accountable outcomes.

FEATURE RELEASE

AI Manager: Azure AI Recommendation Pipelines

Optimizing AI infrastructure spend with precision and accountability

Surveil for Microsoft 365

New M365 Recommendations Experience

Turn insight into action at enterprise scale

Turn insight into action at enterprise scale. M365 recommendations have been fully redesigned with a structured, prioritized experience — organizing recommendations into categories, sub-categories, and per-user detail so partners know exactly what to act on first, why it matters, and can execute in bulk. Less time triaging, faster time-to-savings.

👉 Why it matters:

  • Manage thousands of recommendations with clarity
  • Execute actions in bulk
  • Align teams through a shared workflow
  • Track realized value consistently

This transforms Microsoft 365 optimization from analysis into an operational, accountable process.

AI Agent Visibility

Govern AI identities before they become risk

Your next 100 employees won’t have a heartbeat

Microsoft Agent 365 goes GA on 1 May 2026. AI agents will get identities, mailboxes, Teams presence, and licenses — just like humans. But unlike humans, they’ll multiply fast, and nobody’s watching. Surveil now surfaces AI agent identities alongside your users — so you can see them, govern them, and control their cost before they become a risk.

👉 Why it matters:

  • Identity Blind Spot
    • Today, AI agents don’t show up in your license reports. They’re invisible to governance, audit, and cost tracking. As organizations scale agent deployments, this becomes an uncontrolled attack surface and a cost leak.
  • Hidden Cost Multiplier
    • Each agent instance: $15/mo (Agent 365) + potential E5 ($60) + Copilot ($30) + consumption. A single governed agent could cost $105/mo — and a single blueprint can spawn unlimited instances. There’s no ceiling.
  • Compliance Exposure
    • Agents authenticate with their own service principals, hold API permissions, and access data. Without visibility, you can’t answer ‘how many agents access our data?’ or ‘who authorized this agent?’ for audit.

Contract Center: CSP Support

Remove friction from contract planning

The Contract Center can now be accessed to all end customers and partners without full pricing configuration.

👉 Why it matters: Teams can engage earlier in contract planning and avoid delays in renewal preparation.

Copilot Dashboard Card

Instant visibility into AI adoption

A new Copilot card provides at-a-glance insights directly from the M365 dashboard.

👉 Why it matters: Leaders can quickly assess Copilot adoption and usage without navigating deeper into the platform.

Copilot Candidate Recommendation Improvements

Improve AI license allocation accuracy

Recommendation logic now accounts for additional Copilot SKUs, reducing false positives.

👉 Why it matters: Organizations allocate Copilot licenses more effectively reducing waste and improving ROI.

Enhanced User Activity Signals

Better data for better decisions

Non-interactive sign-in data is now included in user activity tracking.

👉 Why it matters: Improves license optimization accuracy and strengthens security visibility.

Surveil Navigator (for Partners)

Improved Health Check Dashboard

Focus on active revenue opportunities

Navigator now surfaces only customers with active Health Check licenses by default.

👉 Why it matters: Partners gain a clearer view of active engagements and can prioritize the highest-value opportunities.

Platform Usability

Marketplace Vendor Markup Support

Align cost data with real-world billing models

Partners can now configure vendor-level markup for Marketplace purchases.

👉 Why it matters: Ensures accurate invoice reconciliation and eliminates discrepancies between Microsoft billing data and customer-facing invoices.
