Product Release v4.1.1 | Smarter Signals, Expanded Control, and Deeper Device Intelligence

As cloud ecosystems mature and FinOps expectations rise, Surveil continues to lead with clarity, context, and control. Our upcoming v4.1.1 release, delivers important enhancements across Azure and Microsoft 365 – built to sharpen optimization logic, expand device intelligence, and provide more partner configurability.

Surveil for Azure

Precision tracking. Cleaner optimization logic. Expanded savings coverage.

Zombie Disk Logic Enhancements
The logic behind Surveil’s “Zombie Disk” optimization has been refined to ignore cases where a previously detached disk is re-attached to a new VM.
👉 Why it matters: Prevents false-positive savings and ensures reporting accuracy in the Savings Tracker—especially in dynamic or automated environments.

Savings Plan Optimization: Premium Functions
A new pipeline calculates premium function workloads across subscriptions, determines eligible Savings Plan coverage, and flags opportunities where cost reduction is possible.
👉 Why it matters: Expands the range of workloads covered by Surveil’s savings logic—capturing new, often-overlooked optimization potential.

Surveil for Microsoft 365

Device lifecycle clarity. License-level filtering. Demo-readiness for all.

M365 Device Lifecycle Intelligence
A new feature set within the Endpoint section introduces device lifecycle mapping—including age analysis, upgrade readiness, and Windows 11 compliance.
👉 Why it matters: Helps IT teams track where each device stands in its lifecycle, plan refreshes, and make smarter upgrade and support decisions.

Paid vs. Free License Filter in Recommendations
A new filter allows users to isolate optimization recommendations based on whether the license is paid or unpaid.
👉 Why it matters: Surfaces high-impact savings opportunities tied directly to cost—improving visibility into reclaim potential.

M365 Demo Environment Now Live
A fully anonymized Microsoft 365 demo dataset has been added to Surveil’s Demo Tenant—mirroring the existing Azure demo experience.
👉 Why it matters: Enables partners and internal teams to explore Surveil’s M365 capabilities in a safe, simulated environment—perfect for training, demos, and discovery.
