In today’s cloud environment—where AI adoption is rising and Microsoft licensing continues to evolve—organizations need more than dashboards. They need decisions. Surveil 4.0.x delivers on that promise: providing sharper forecasting, cleaner optimization, and actionable intelligence across your Azure, Microsoft 365, and multi-tenant cloud estate.
Whether you manage spend internally or through a trusted partner, these updates put control and clarity at the center of every decision—so you can lead with data, act with confidence, and scale with precision.
Surveil for Azure
Smarter forecasting. Cleaner optimization. Sharper cost control.
Future-Ready Forecasting with Project Budgets
Surveil now supports layering planned project spend into its forecasting model—empowering teams to visualize how AI pilots, seasonal spikes, or upcoming migrations will impact budgets.
👉 Why it matters: CFOs and FinOps teams can now move beyond backward-looking reports and proactively shape investment strategies that align to business goals.
Reservation & Savings Plan Intelligence
We’ve reimagined how committed usage discounts are managed—adding daily trend tracking, contract efficiency scoring, and real-time coverage stats across compute and database services.
👉 Why it matters: Cloud operations teams can now fine-tune their Microsoft commitments with precision, avoiding costly overbuys and underutilized reservations.
Smart Rightsizing with Full Cost Context
A new cost grouping view surfaces the complete economics of each VM—including disks, licensing, and adjacent resources—paired with intelligent idle resource detection.
👉 Why it matters: Drives high-confidence optimization actions that reduce waste without compromising service delivery or compliance requirements.
Component-Level VM Cost Grouping
Surveil now groups all associated costs—compute, disk, network—for every VM into a single, unified view.
👉 Why it matters: Gives teams the true cost of ownership for every workload, enabling smarter rightsizing decisions and performance trade-offs based on actual spend.
Anomaly Detection with AI-Tuned Best Practice Engine
Our Log Analytics engine detects cost anomalies and misconfigurations against enterprise best practices—highlighting hidden risks in high-volume environments.
👉 Why it matters: Prevents runaway ingestion costs or misconfiguration of workspace parameters and delivers governance without guesswork, giving IT leaders the visibility to stop waste before it happens.
Azure Project Spend Interface for Budget Planning
A new Azure Projects Costs interface allows teams to input planned expenditures directly into Surveil’s forecasting model—complementing both amortized and on-demand cost estimates.
👉 Why it matters: Strengthens enterprise budgeting by aligning cloud forecasts with strategic initiatives, enabling finance and IT leaders to plan with precision and proactively manage fiscal risk.
Direct Implementation Orchestration for Optimization
Surveil’s recommendation engine now integrates with Power Platform—allowing secure, template-based execution of selected actions. Although the platform is strictly Read only, the ability to execute and track recommendations from the platform to Azure/M365 has been made available to allow for an authenticated administrator to action selected recommendations that have been identified.
Utilizing Power Platform templates and an API to Power Platform, customers can execute selected recommendations directly from the platform. The Power Platform templates allow for the platform to remain read-only and allows the customer to introduce their own governance and approval methodology to the templates.
The initial support in Azure, is for Zombie Resources, and for M365, is User License removals.
👉 Why it matters: Reduces time-to-savings without compromising governance, enabling teams to act on insights with confidence and control by putting trusted execution in the hands of authenticated admins to implement and track optimization recommendations, directly from the Surveil platform.
Reservation Analysis in Power BI
New visuals allow for contract efficiency scoring and ESR tracking on a daily basis across compute services like VMs, SQL, Redis, and Fabric.
👉 Why it matters: Equips enterprise finance and engineering teams to continuously assess and optimize reservation coverage based on actual demand shifts.
Root-Level Subscription Visibility
Surveil now enables optional root Reader access, where agreed, across Azure for future subscriptions, improving cost tracking from day one.
👉 Why it matters: Eliminates blind spots for IT governance teams, ensuring consistent oversight as environments grow or shift.
Surveil for Microsoft 365
License clarity. Endpoint strategy. AI readiness.
Copilot Usage & ROI Insights
New usage distribution visuals and scoring logic refinements help surface real adoption trends while filtering noise from automated accounts.
👉 Why it matters: Helps you make smarter licensing decisions and better quantify the impact of your AI investments.
Natural Language Cloud Assistant for M365
Users can now query their Microsoft 365 estate with intelligent, plain-English prompts—streamlining analysis and navigation.
👉 Why it matters: Reduces time spent hunting for insights and gives non-technical stakeholders a faster way to unlock data.
Teams Governance
Our re-engineered Teams dashboard now covers apps, meetings, channels, licensing, and call quality.
👉 Why it matters: Helps organizations enforce policy, maintain collaboration integrity, and avoid spiraling license and storage costs.
Windows 11 Readiness Visibility
New endpoint reports flag which devices are ready to upgrade, based on Intune data and hardware compatibility.
👉 Why it matters: Streamlines endpoint refresh planning and reduces surprises during OS migration cycles.
License Cost Accuracy at Scale
New import templates for EA and CSP pricing simplify cost management across tenants—ensuring Surveil reflects your actual commercial posture.
👉 Why it matters: Delivers confidence to finance and procurement teams that optimization decisions are grounded in real spend, not assumptions.
License Inactivity Alerts + UPN-Level Visibility
Surveil now flags inactive users tied to paid licenses, right down to the UPN—making waste visible and recoverable in real time.
👉 Why it matters: Turns reclaiming licenses from a quarterly project into a daily win for operational efficiency.
Friendly License Naming for Usability
When UPN data is missing, recommendations now show readable license names rather than cryptic SKU codes.
👉 Why it matters: Makes reports more human-readable—especially during cleanup, audits, or renewal prep.
Surveil Navigator for Partners
Scalable intelligence. Streamlined control. Stronger onboarding.
Campaign Activation Controls
Pre-built campaigns now ship Inactive by default and can be toggled on/off directly in-platform.
👉 Why it matters: Gives sales and operations teams more control over which campaigns to prioritize—reducing clutter and increasing focus.
Version History & Campaign Filters
Navigator now includes a version history log and filters campaigns based on status.
👉 Why it matters: Improves governance, simplifies troubleshooting, and ensures cleaner interfaces for end users.
Pre-Onboarding Volume Visibility
Bulk Onboarding now auto-calculates license and Azure revenue estimates from CSP billing data—before onboarding is completed.
👉 Why it matters: Helps prioritize high-value tenants earlier and allocate onboarding resources more effectively.
Azure Revenue Model Alignment (ABR)
All Azure metrics in Navigator now reflect Azure Billed Revenue (ABR), including amortized RI, ASP, and Marketplace charges.
👉 Why it matters: Provides a complete, Microsoft-aligned financial picture—critical for incentive modeling and partner program planning.
Marketplace Billing Separation
Navigator invoices now include a dedicated section for Marketplace transactions.
